Discover funding opportunities for animal-free innovations with the NAMs Funding Compass!
Today we launched the NAMs Funding Compass. With this tool researchers, entrepreneurs and public-private partnerships can identify relevant funding programs for NAM research, validation or implementation. The tool organises programs by Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) and provides the relevant details for choosing the right funding option to support NAMs projects and accelerate the transition to animal-free solutions.
How the NAMs Funding Compass works
The available funding opportunities are categorised based on the Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) system. This system assesses the development of technologies, ranging from fundamental research (TRL 1-3), through technological development (TRL 4-6), to validation and commercial end products (TRL 7-9). This tool also displays the specific research areas that the funding programs focus on and other relevant details you need to know to select the funding program suitable for your project. In addition to funding programs specifically focused on animal-free innovations, the NAMs Funding Compass also features more generic funding programs that can support animal-free projects, both on a national and European level.
The tool offers information about funding programs. For current or upcoming calls for proposals, the tool refers users to the websites of the programs.
