Proefdiervrij, the Dutch Society for the Replacement of Animal Testing

This foundation and its donors envision a future free from animal studies. They believe that animal-free science is not only possible but also preferable for both humans and animals.
One of the key methods to achieve this aim is the funding of animal-free research. The Dutch Society for the Replacement of Animal Testing promotes scientific activity based on human cells and tissue as well as the use of innovative techniques that bypass the need for laboratory animals.
Cooperation is the key to success. Together with partners from the realms of science, politics, business and society, it works towards a future in which animal studies will be obsolete.
